Marbella is situated in the south of the Costa del Sol in Andalusia and represents one of the most exclusive touristic regions in Spain.
Marbella deserves this reputation for its mild climate all year long, its perfect infrastructure and its amazing offer of luxurious holiday accommodations.
Throughout the last decade, Marbella has experienced a period of growth and presents itsself today with an offer coming up to the expectations of its mostly wealthy clients.
Walking along the elite yacht port of Puerto Banus you will see some of the world's most expensive motor yachts. The port promenade in Puerto Banus is home of some of the best restaurants and shops in Marbella.
Apart form the luxurious port, the old center of Marbella should be visited. Here remains the authentic Andalusia with its narrow streets and romantic squares, in contrast to the modern port.

Restaurants in Marbella
The Andalusian kitchen can show off with a couple of special treats. Of course, sea food and fish is of highest quality here and being offered in most restaurants in Estepona.
We also recommend to visit a typical Bodega in the old center of Estepona where "Tapas" are being offered from a wide glass cabinet on top of the bar. A "Tapa" is a small plate of food being served with a beer, so you wouldn't have to drink the beer with an empty stomach. Usually, a tapa costs 1€, just like the glass of beer.

Beaches of Marbella
If you want to coll down a bit from the heat, you'll jump into the cristal-blue water of the Mediterranean sea, which never exceeds the mark of 22°C. In the winter time the temperature doesn't sink below 17°C. Still, we always recommend to wear a neoprene suit for water sports.
The water is very clean here and there is no danger of currents.
Beach Playa de Cabo Pino
This is the most eastern beach of Marbella. It's Marbella's most natural beach and can be found some minutes away from Marbella by car.
Beach Playa Las Chapas
This beach is situated between Cabo Pino and Puerto Banus. It is 1000m long and 40m wide. You'll find it infront of the urbanisation Las Chapas. There is a bay-watch tower, showers and toilets, and 4 beach bars offer drinks and snacks.
Playa El Alicate
11 beach bars can be found at this beach, which usually gets crowded in July and August. Great for sports offers like windsurfing or rent a pedal boat here.
Playa de Puerto Banus
The city beach of Marbella is located on the right side of the yacht port Puerto Banus and has 1000m of fine beach to offer. The beach promenade is full of services and gastronomy and decorated with many palm trees. In the high season this is the most visited beach of Marbella.
Climate & weather in Marbella
While temperatures in the summer at the Andalusian coast are comfortably warm, it may be unbearably hot just 20km further in the country. Seville, for example, is used to have above 40°C every day while on the coast you only feel 25°C.
In winter time it hardly gets any colder than 16°C, except for the nights which could end up being around 10°C. The temperatures also depend on the wind direction: Levante brings warmer air from the land, Poniente brings cool air form the sea.
The average humidity in summer is around 30%, in the winter it is above 50%.
The probability of rain is very low apart from January til April. Statistically the Costa de la Luz provides more than 300 days of sunshine per year. In fact, rain is always welcome to assure the water supply in summer.
